The Faculty of Architecture (Universiteti i Prishtinës), last month had the pleasure of hosting Associate Professor Jonathan A. Scelsa, Pratt Institute, as part of the Fulbright Specialist Program, in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Arta Basha-Jakupi, FA|UP.

Professor Scelsa has held a workshop and several lectures related to "AUGMENTED AGGREGATES / DIGITAL IMAGE SCANNING" by investigating how image-based scanning processes, such as photogrammetry and point cloud modelling, can allow the architect to salvage critical portions of a context at the building or detail scale for their incorporation into the future project through processes of digital collage.

Representatives from the U.S. Embassy and the American Councils in Kosovo had a chance to participate in one of the workshops and meet with the Faculty of Architecture staff and the Specialist. We are happy to have had the opportunity to see this Fulbright Specialist bring new perspectives on the processes of augmented aggregates and digital image scanning to the Faculty of Architecture.
